The School of Humanities and Sciences has a long tradition of excellence that is recognized through the accomplishments of our faculty.
H&S professors are Nobel laureates, Pulitzer Prize winners and MacArthur “genius grant” recipients. They are members of the nation’s most prestigious honorary learned societies. And their extraordinary skills in the classroom and the field have been recognized by the H&S Dean’s Award, as well as by Stanford’s Dinkelspiel, Hoagland, and Gores prizes.
These honors contribute to the legacy of H&S as a thriving locus of teaching and research both at Stanford and around the world.
