At Stanford’s core lies the School of Humanities and Sciences. All undergraduates take courses in H&S as they explore the many disciplines that comprise a world-class liberal arts education. They are part of a vibrant community that includes the school's remarkable graduate students, who work alongside world-renowned faculty to advance their fields.

H&S is the university’s primary home for the foundational research that forms the basis for future discoveries. Whether in laboratories or classrooms, libraries or art studios, students and faculty are developing new knowledge that will enrich and transform the world.

It is my job to ensure that the school can continue to deliver a transformative education and that faculty and students have the resources to work at the very highest levels. Realizing this aspiration will depend in great measure on the support of people who share the belief in the potential for education to change the world.

I invite you to join us. With your support, we look forward to new adventures and opportunities that lie ahead.
