Hazel Rose Markus wins 2026 Sage-CASBS Award
Hazel Rose Markus, the Davis-Brack Professor in the Behavioral Sciences and professor in the Department of Psychology, has been named the 2026 Sage-CASBS awardee. Sage, an academic publisher, and the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences (CASBS) at Stanford first established the award in 2013 to recognize achievement in behavioral and social sciences. Markus is honored for her work in the understanding of people and their relationships with the broader social world—especially outside industrialized Western contexts.
