John R. Rickford, a Continuing Bass University Fellow in Undergraduate Education and professor, emeritus, in the Department of Linguistics, has been awarded the Victoria A. Fromkin Lifetime Service Award from the Linguistic Society of America (LSA). The award recognizes those who have performed extraordinary service to the linguistics discipline and to LSA throughout their career.
