Jonathan Luk receives American Mathematical Society award

Jonathan Luk, professor in the Department of Mathematics, has received the 2026 American Math Society (AMS) Bôcher Memorial Prize. Awarded every three years, the prize recognizes notable work in the area of analysis. Luk shares the prize with Princeton's Mihalis Dafermos, and they are honored for their work in mathematical physics related to a specific type of black hole and the solutions to Einstein's general relativity equations.
