Kathryn Olivarius awarded AHA Prize in American History

Kathryn Olivarius, assistant professor of history, has been awarded the American Historical Association Prize in American History for her 2022 book Necropolis: Disease, Power, and Capitalism in the Cotton Kingdom (The Belknap Press of Harvard University Press). The AHA Prize is awarded specifically for an author’s first or second book in U.S. History. Necropolis is Olivarius’ first book.
