Laura Dassama honored with Protein Science Young Investigator Award

Laura Dassama, assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, has won the Protein Science Young Investigator Award. The award recognizes scientists who have made important contributions to the study of proteins within the first eight years of their careers. Dassama was honored as an emerging leader in the field of chemical biology with a particular focus on understanding and mitigating multidrug bacterial resistance.  

Dassama is also an assistant professor of microbiology and of immunology in the School of Medicine.
