Lerone A .Martin wins James W. C. Pennington Award

Lerone A. Martin, director of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Centennial Professor, and professor in the Departments of Religious Studies and African and African American Studies, has been honored with the James W. C. Pennington Award from Heidelberg University. The award goes to researchers who have contributed groundbreaking works on African American history and research topics such as peace, education, civil rights, and intercultural understanding, among others.
