Margaret Cohen receives National Endowment for the Humanities grant
Margaret Cohen, the Andrew B. Hammond Professor of French Language, Literature, and Civilization and professor in the Department of English, has been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for her oceanic humanities project, co-directed with Fiorenza Micheli, a professor in Stanford's Doerr School of Sustainability. The two-year project will develop and implement a program that focuses on interdisciplinary studies in which students explore the human connection to the sea through the arts, humanities, and history.
