Nicholas Jenkins, associate professor in the Department of English and director of the Creative Writing Program, has been awarded a 2024 Northern California Book Award for General Nonfiction for his book The Island: War and Belonging in Auden's England. The Northern California Book Reviewers, Poetry Flash, and the San Francisco Public Library present awards annually to works in various categories published by Northern California authors and California literary translators.
