Paul Wender, the Francis W. Bergstrom Professor and professor in the Department of Chemistry, has been awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Sir Derek Barton Gold Medal for 2024 in recognition of “brilliance in research and innovation.” Professor Wender received the prize for his contributions to the advancement of drug delivery, medicinal chemistry, organometallic chemistry, photochemistry, and synthesis.
