Peter Michelson, the Luke Blossom Professor in the School of Humanities and Sciences and professor in the Department of Physics, has been awarded a 2025 Giuseppe and Vanna Cocconi Prize by the European Physical Society as part of the Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) project team. Michelson and fellow LAT scientists were honored for pioneering research on gamma-ray astronomy.
