Peter Stansky, the Frances and Charles Field Professor of History, Emeritus, has received the Orwell Society’s 2023 Peter Davison Award for work of outstanding quality and continuing contributions to the study of George Orwell’s life and work. Stansky is the inaugural winner of the award created by the society in honor of prolific Orwell scholar Davison, who died in 2022.
