Shelley Correll elected American Sociological Association president

Shelley Correll, the Michelle Mercer and Bruce Golden Family Professor of Women’s Leadership and professor of sociology, has been elected as the 117th president of the American Sociological Association. Correll will initially serve as president-elect and then begin her term in August 2025. Correll is also the co-founder and director of the VMware Women's Leadership Innovation Lab at Stanford and associate director of Stanford Impact Labs.
