Shelley Fisher Fishkin receives 2023 American Studies Association lifetime achievement award

Shelley Fisher Fishkin, the Joseph S. Atha Professor in Humanities, professor of English, and director of the American Studies Program, has been awarded the American Studies Association’s 2023 Carl Bode-Norman Holmes Pearson Prize for lifetime achievement and outstanding contribution to American Studies. Fisher Fishkin was selected for her four decades of scholarly research and service in American Studies and “most especially for introducing and defining the notion of a ‘transnational turn.’”
