Arun Chandrasekhar, professor of economics, has been awarded the 2024 Infosys Prize in Economics from the Infosys Science Foundation in India. The prize is given to researchers of Indian origin and aims to celebrate an individual’s success and excellence in their chosen field. Chandrasekhar was honored based on his contributions to the study of social and economic networks using machine learning and computer science.
