Join us for a dialogue in which we place current controversies about universities and public subsidy in context, drawing on historical/social-science scholarship by Stanford colleagues and students. Reception to follow.
The event is anchored in the Graduate School of Education undergraduate course Stanford and Its Worlds: 1885 - Present; the Graduate School of Business course The University (and Other Organizations) in Crisis; and the project Private Universities in the Public Interest in the Stanford Center for Racial Justice.
