Rose Salseda, assistant professor in the Department of Art and Art History, has been selected as a Mellon Emerging Faculty Leader for 2026. The award supports junior faculty who work on contemporary topics across the humanities and demonstrate commitment to the creation of thriving campus communities for students. Salseda was particularly recognized for her scholarly work entitled Muralism, A Cry for Justice: Chicano Art and the Cultivation of Humanity at Stanford University.
