Leonard Susskind wins 2025 Galileo Medal
Leonard Susskind, the Felix Bloch Professor in Physics, is one of two scientists who has been awarded the 2025 Galileo Galilei Medal from Italy's National Institute for Nuclear Physics and its Galileo Galilei Institute for Theoretical Physics. The prize is awarded every two years to researchers who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of research in theoretical physics. Susskind was honored for his work in uncovering and deciphering the challenges of black holes to the classical and quantum nature of gravity, while also making connections between elementary particles and the cosmos.
