Adrien Bilal receives 2026 Best Young Economist Prize
Adrien Bilal, assistant professor in the Department of Economics, has won the 2026 Best Young Economist Prize from the French newspaper Le Monde and the French economics organization Cercle des économistes. The prize recognizes both academic excellence and the ability to shed light on public debate. Bilal was honored for his research on environmental issues, which shows the consequences of climate change may be substantially underestimated when limited to local approaches.
Bilal is also a center fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research.
